Ms. Lokey had reached out to Watkins Handyman Services with a carpentry and woodworking project in Thompson. She had three screen doors that were in dire need of repair. The screws at the hinges were stripped out, and one of the doors was even falling apart. To address this issue, I decided to replace the metal door with a sturdy wood door. Additionally, I replaced the stripped screws with t-nuts and through bolts, ensuring a more secure installation.
Furthermore, Ms. Lokey’s dog had left its mark on the front door, heavily clawing and damaging it. To restore its appearance, I handcrafted new trim since the same profile trim was not available in retail stores. This new trim not only held the window pane in place but also effectively concealed the deep gouges caused by the dog’s claws. After the repairs were complete, I meticulously applied touch-up paint to seamlessly blend the patched areas with the rest of the door.
